MARX MEMORIAL LIBRARY

- REBRANDING

A living archive for all.

Marx Memorial Library and Workers' School, a library and archive located in Clerkenwell, central London, needed a 360-degree rebrand.

About the project

An active and living archive and educational institute. That’s like an organism, evergrowing and evolving.

Marx Memorial Library and Worker’s School needed a 360-degree rebrand, from the archival systems to website and social media.

My team and I came first in the pitch contest where we after thorough research and careful consideration presented our design and concept to the client, who chose to go with our suggestion. Balancing between innovative, budget restrains and possibility.

The basis of our rebrand is to align what Marx Memorial Library and Worker’s School (hereafter called MML) actually does. Respecting the origins and historical importance as a headquater for the communist movements dating back to the 1800’s and into today where they focus on educating and bringing awareness to a variety of socialist issues like racism and inequality.
